Lineage 2 Is Getting An All-New Server

If you’ve been away from Lineage 2 for a while, or haven’t ever played but have been considering it, now might be a good time. Today, NC announced that the free-to-play MMORPG’s first new server in over a decade will be launching on September 15. (So, in a week.)

The server is intended to give veterans the chance at a fresh start and players can even earn rewards by hitting specific milestones. The rewards will be rolled out as players hit specific levels – 110-115 – and include gear and a weapon. There’s also the chance for players to pick up other rewards that will aid in their journey by pre-registering for the new server. Players can do that on the special site.

In addition, special events will help to ease the leveling process. During the celebration events, players can expect a 500% XP boost, Vitality will be maintained so players don’t have to worry about it, and players will be able to fully equip their characters via the Virtual Equipment system. In adition, a ranking event will reward the top 100 players with the first-place player receiving a Level 2 Dragon Weapon.
