Proton Experimental for October 15 has fixes for ARC Raiders, C&C Red Alert

Valve launched the latest update for Proton Experimental to fix up more issues found with Windows games running on SteamOS / Linux.

What exactly is Proton Experimental? A brief reminder for you - Proton Experimental is a compatibility layer to run Windows games on Linux systems like Steam Machine, Steam Deck and Desktop Linux. This one is their testing ground for future stable numbered versions of Proton, the most recent being Proton 11.0-2. There's also a Proton 11.0-3 release candidate currently in testing.

For the October 15th Proton Experimental update:

Key Changes

• Now Playable: Breadbox
• Fixed a crash regression in C&C Red Alert, Counterstrike and The Aftermath.
• Fixed a controller hotplugging regression in Chrono Trigger.
• Fixed a rare crash in ARC Raiders.
